Karlana is the owner of 80 Acres Counselling, Mediation & Consulting. She has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, is a Counselling Therapist (AB), Registered Clinical Counsellor (BC), Certified Canadian Counsellor (CAN.), and Qualified Mediator (AB/CAN). 

Karlana has a passion for working with children, youth, individuals and families from all walks of life.  Having worked in the Human Services Profession from Front Line to Education and Psychology for 19 years she strives to meet clients where they are. Karlana continues fulfilling her passion for supporting clients through her education, consulting, and liaising with various professionals. 

Having been raised in rural Alberta and recognizing the importance and value of mental health supports and the dire need for services. Karlana embarked on a journey years ago to make a difference within her childhood town and surrounding communities as she began her education.  Remaining in her hometown throughout her studies and opening her private practice, she focused the setting around the comforts of home rather than an office setting to support the needs of all clients while providing a degree of privacy second to none.
